The Google Display Network allows you to connect with customers with a variety of ad formats across the digital universe. This network spans over two million websites that reach over 90% of people on the Internet. It can help you reach people while they’re browsing their favourite websites, showing a friend a YouTube video, checking their Gmail account, or using mobile sites and apps.
Display – Video Types
Video campaigns let you show video ads on their own or within other streaming video content on YouTube and across the Google Display Network.
In order to use the re-marketing feature, the only requirement is to create an audience, for example customers who visited the website but didn’t convert.
Available video ad formats include TrueView in-stream ads, TrueView video discovery ads, Bumper ads, and Lightbox ads.
1) TrueView in-stream ads
These ads run before, during, or after other videos on YouTube or across Display Network sites, games, or apps. These ads may also run on YouTube videos that are embedded on other sites. After 5 seconds, the viewer has an option to skip the ad.
2) TrueView video discovery ads
These ads reach people in places where they’re discovering content. The appearance will vary, depending on the ad sizes and ad formats that content publishers support. When a viewer clicks the thumbnail for your ad, the video will play on its YouTube watch or channel page.
3) YouTube Bumper ads
These are a short video ad format, designed to allow you reach customers broadly and increase awareness about your brand by using a short, memorable message. Bumper ads are just 6 seconds or less, and viewers can’t skip the ad.
Non skippable video ads are also available on the Display Network.
4) Lightbox ads
These ads responsively combine your ad assets – like videos, image galleries and maps – to fill available ad spaces. Lightbox ads may contain multiple videos, image galleries or combinations of these. Here’s a live preview of the ad below.
Display – Banner Types
1) Responsive ads
These ads automatically adjust their size, appearance and format to fit just about any available ad space. For example, your responsive ad might show as a native banner ad on one site and a dynamic text ad on another, as it automatically transforms itself to fit precisely where you need it to go to meet your advertising goals. As such, responsive ads can increase your reach and impact while also saving you time.
2) Image ads
These ads consists of an image that you provide featuring information about your business, services or products. When people click anywhere on your ad, they’ll be taken to your website. Your image ad can use a static image, animated image or Flash format, and can be in a range of sizes.
